Scottish Welfare Fund
The Scottish Welfare Fund has two main grants and applications are made through the local council. Grants do not have to be repaid.
SCOTTISH WELFARE FUNDCrisis Grant
A Crisis Grant can help with an emergency such as food or heating, a fire or flood, domestic abuse, redundancy or another unexpected crisis. You normally apply to your council.
CRISIS GRANTCommunity Care Grant
A Community Care Grant can help eligible people live independently or establish themselves in the community, including some household items.
COMMUNITY CARE GRANTIf you are refused
Ask the council for the decision and information about the review process. Keep copies of your application and evidence.
