Voluntary, Unpaid & Flexible Roles

All roles shown on this page are voluntary and unpaid. Right First Time UK is built around people giving the time they are able to give. There is no pressure to complete tasks when somebody is unavailable, busy or needs time away.

Different roles have different responsibilities, but that does not make one person more important than another. We want everyone involved to be treated fairly and with the same respect.

We aim to work as one team: supporting each other, sharing responsibility where appropriate, communicating openly and never putting unnecessary pressure on volunteers.

Independence, Boundaries & Accountability

Right First Time UK is an independent public-interest organisation and information platform focused on information, transparency, signposting, research, campaigning and public participation.

Right First Time UK does not replace solicitors, regulated financial advisers, medical professionals, social workers, emergency services, government departments, tribunals or courts.

Campaign Leaders, Members and Volunteers are not automatically authorised to enter agreements, make commitments or issue official statements on behalf of Right First Time UK.

Formal organisational responsibility remains with the appropriate leadership and governance structure where a decision requires formal authority, legal responsibility or organisational approval.

We aim to distinguish clearly between evidence, allegation, opinion and verified fact when publishing public-interest information.
