Free Maths Entitlement in England
Eligible adults aged 19 and over can be fully funded for GCSE Maths, Functional Skills Maths from Entry Level to Level 2 and approved stepping-stone qualifications under the Adult Skills Fund legal entitlement, subject to residency and prior-attainment rules.
Multiply — Important Update
The national Multiply numeracy programme ran from April 2022 to March 2025. Adults looking for help now should use current Adult Skills Fund, Functional Skills, local adult education and community-learning routes.
Choosing the Right Maths Course
If confidence is low
Ask for an initial assessment and whether you can start below Level 1. A practical community or Functional Skills route may suit some learners better than immediately entering GCSE.
If you need maths for work or study
Check exactly which qualification the employer, college, apprenticeship or university requires before enrolling.
